On their website one can find courses from diverse fields such as Humanities, Medicine, Biology, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Business, Computer Science and many others. The courses are lead by professors from the world known universities which cooperate with Coursera – Brown University, Pennsylvania State University, Technical University of Denmark, Princeton University The University of Edinburgh, Universiteit Leiden, University of Geneva or University of Toronto just to name a few of them.

Classes offered on Coursera are designed to help you master the material. When you take one of our classes, you will watch lectures taught by world-class professors, learn at your own pace, test your knowledge, and reinforce concepts through interactive exercises. When you join one of our classes, you’ll also join a global community of thousands of students learning alongside you.

To attened a course all you need to do is to subscribe. You will get e-mail notifications about upcoming course and classes. For each course there is a short video introduction where a professor explains what the course will be about and how the classes will be delivered (mostly video lectures of 10-15 minutes). For some of them a previous preparation is required.
