It’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon!

With the beginning of September there has come time to say goodbye to
a couple of our volunteers and friends.

On Saturday SPPMD‘s Austrian friend from Vienna, Ferdinand, left Kavadarci after spending almost two here. Ferdinand helped our volunteers with the preparations for SPPMD’s 16th Birthday Party and sang “Happy Birthday” during the event. He spent a lot of time at our Club and made new friends with the local youth. SPPMD’s team and Ferdinand will see each other again in less than two weeks in Cracow, Poland, for
a seminar of International Young Naturefriends.

Wednesday is the departure day for Marta, our Polish EVS volunteer from Wrocław, who spent last 10 months in Kavadarci. Marta started volunteering at SPPMD by the end of October 2011. Her project was approved for 9 months but she liked Kavadarci and Macedonia so much that she asked the Polish NA for a possibility to prelong her stay. During the time she spent here, she actively participated in all activities and events organized by SPPMD. In addition to that, in August she realized her personal project which was a photo exhibition. On 31st August the exhibition was officially opened gathering many people – Marta’s friends, SPPMD’s volunteers,  the President of the Council of the Municipality of Kavadarci and art lovers.

These were terrific ten months. I learned a lot of new things and
I met real friends. I loved the time I spent here and I am sure
I will be back again very soon.

On Thursday Erhan is leaving, the Turkish EVS volunteer from Antalya. Erhan spent two months in Kavadarci. He was directly involved with the group of youngsters who went for an exchange to France. He helped them with preparations which were focused on music and singing. Erhan, as the leader of the group of the Turkish volunteers, played and sang along with his fellow EVSes during SPPMD’s Birthday Party. Erhan often joined other local and EVS volunteers for rock concerts in the town as befits
a professional musician.

I will miss Kavadarci!

SPPMD wishes to thank our dear volunteers for their work, enthousiasm and committement!
We are very pleased to have had you here with us!
We hope to meet you again…
